Supervisors Discuss Possible Burning Ban

The County Board of Supervisor´s discussed the State´s recently proposed ban on outdoor residential waste burning today at their meeting. In a memo written by Supervisor Mark Thornton, the proposal needs more input from the local Air Pollution Control Board, fire departments and local residents.
The proposed ban includes the absence of back yard trash burning and making cardboard and paper burning prohibited. A public hearing on the matter in Tuolumne County is scheduled for January 9th.
