Tuolumne County Business Council Remains Strong
What is the Tuolumne County Business Council?
Darrell Slocum, Tuolumne County Business Council President, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Slocum works with Ron Kopf, who was hired to be the Executive Director after the Council parted ways in 2011 with Jim Conklin.
A non-profit organization founded in 2008, The Tuolumne County Business Council is a diverse group of business leaders sharing their professional and personal experiences to help address local challenges. Their goal is to address challenges facing the area in a positive and constructive manner.
Slocum and Kopf both attend Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meetings, interact with city and county employees as well as maintain regular contact with its business members and potential members.
“We are an active group and seek business groups that are interested in persuing what’s best for business in Tuolumne County,” said Slocum. “This is not a passive group of business owners or managers.”
New for 2014 will be the Executive Speaker Series. The general public is invited. The series will be held on the last Friday of each quarter (with the exception of the last quarter) in the Black Oak Casino Resort Conference Center. Ticket information and guest speaker information will be announced soon.
