A run in memory of the late Air Force Major Lucas Gruenther highlight’s events going on this weekend.
Here are the events going on tonight:
It is a feast for the taste buds at the Sonora Lions Cioppino Dinner Fundraiser. It starts at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Sonora. Proceeds raised will go sight and scholarship programs.
Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans presents Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day Benefit. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Willow Creek Lounge in Black Oak Casino with light appetizers sponsored by Seven Sisters.
The events for Saturday:
Lace up your running shoes for the Lucas Gruenther Memorial Fun Run. It starts at 7 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m. at the Tuolumne Memorial Hall and Park in Tuolumne. Air Force Major Lucas Gruenther was a 1999 Summerville High School graduate. His plane went down near the Italian coast during a training mission in January of last year. The fund assist individuals to ‘Live Like Luc’.
If things are getting on your last nerve, you can head to the “You’re Gettin’ On My Nerves” benefit concert for Dusty Sutton to put you in a better mood. The concert runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sonora Elks Lodge in Sonora.
