High Water Flows In Tuolumne County

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Some new photos show the increased water flow that has resulted from draining Twain Harte Lake.

Click on the photo box in the upper left hand corner to see how the water progressed after leaving Twain Harte. Yesterday afternoon, 2,000 gallons of water were being released per minute. Late last night the amount was increased so that the lake will be fully dry sometime today. Twain Harte Lake is closed at least through the summer.

State and local officials are currently determining what’s next for the lake and dam. Click here to read an earlier story from yesterday about the damage. County officials are planning to release more information sometime today.
