Passes Close In Anticipation Of Snow

Sonora, CA — Highway 108 Sonora Pass and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass were closed this morning.
Caltrans spokesperson Angela Daprato says the closures started at 10 am, and are in anticipation of snow in the high country, which could make travel difficult. Highway 108 is closed near Kennedy Meadows and Highway 4 near Lake Alpine. Daprato notes that high country snow is expected this weekend, as well, so the passes will likely remain closed into next week.
Also of note, Highway 120 Tioga Pass has not re-opened following last weeks’ high country snow.
