Snow Falls Short For OSV Season

Sonora, CA — While the recent wintry weather has dumped some snow in the Stanislaus National Forest, it is not enough to allow over-snow vehicles (OSV) to hit the trails.
Forest Service spokesperson Rebecca Garcia says, “There has to be at least a foot of snow or 6 inches of packed snow. Although we are getting there, we’re not there yet.”
Garcia says several more inches need to fall for the trails to open. You can find out the snow conditions and snowmobile trail details by clicking here.
