Worker Arrested For Theft
Sonora, CA — A Jamestown woman has been arrested for stealing from the Sonora veterinary clinic where she worked.
The office manager/owner of the clinic on Mono Way alerted the Sonora Police Department to the theft, which involved both cash and merchandise. Investigators questioned employee, Jennifer Hellquist, 35, regarding the stolen items on Wednesday, December 17. Chief Mark Stinson says, “At that time, Hellquist admitted to taking the items without permission and was taken into custody without incident. She was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for felony embezzlement.”
Police estimated the merchandise and cash taken totaled more than $2,000. The investigation is ongoing.
