Next Week: Schools Are Out, Grads ‘Walk’

Sonora, CA — Along with schools dismissing next week, for the majority of Class of 2015 high school seniors across the Mother Lode, it will also be Graduation Week.

In Tuolumne County, Cassina High School seniors will be the first to “walk,” as its commencement will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 6 p.m. in the Sonora High School gymnasium. Those for Sonora High are scheduled for Thursday, June 4, at 7 p.m. on Dunlavy Field. The following evening, Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m., Tioga High School will hold its graduation event on Tioga Field; the same night, beginning one hour later, at 8 p.m., Summerville Union High School’s commencement will take place on Thorsted Stadium football field.

In Calaveras  County, Bret Harte Union High School’s commencement will also be held on Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. on Dorroh Field.

On Saturday afternoon, June 6, at 2 p.m., Don Pedro High School will stage its commencement ceremony in the school gymnasium.

The last Mother Lode high school Class of 2015 to slide away with their “sheepskins” will be Calaveras High’s, whose graduation is slated for Thursday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. on Fred Meyer Field.

Schools Are Out When?

The last day of classes for schools in Tuolumne County is Wednesday, June 3, for Sonora High and Sonora Elementary; Thursday, June 4, for Summerville Union, Curtis Creek and Soulsbyville elementary schools; Friday, June 5, for Big Oak Flat and Groveland.

Public schools across Calaveras County will dismiss for the summer on Friday, June 5.
