Caltrans Plans, Beginning Sunday

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Making hay while the sun shines — and in the overnights before the weekend is out — Caltrans has extensive work slated along the Mother Lode roads this week.

Ten-Minute Delays Beginning Sunday Overnight

Several projects fall into this category, as listed immediately below for Calaveras County. In Tuolumne County, the only heads up for overnight work this week is on Highway 108, where bridge work along a two-mile stretch of Mono Way will be underway Sunday night through Friday morning from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.

In Calaveras County, along Highway 4, overnight striping between Foundry Lane and Anrey Court will set up in the overnights from Sunday through Friday from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m

Likewise, on Highway 12, striping and pavement repairs continue between the Calaveras/San Joaquin County line to Highway 49. Crews will be in place nightly at 7 p.m. through 6 a.m. Friday morning.

Striping along a stretch of Highway 26 between Shelton Road and Highway 49 near Mokelumne Hill and pavement repairs between Savage Way to Paloma Road also continue Sunday night until Friday morning from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Round-the-clock In Calaveras

Along Highway 49 — overnight and in the daytime — motorists traveling between the Tuolumne/Calaveras and Calaveras/Amador lines may find ten-minute delays while striping operations — under moving closures — continue in the following locations:

–Between the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line and Frogtown Road in the overnights beginning Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.; and weekdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

–Between Pool Station Road and the Calaveras/Amador County line in the overnights, Sunday through Friday from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m.; and weekdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

–Between Copello Drive and Angels Road in the overnights, Sunday through Friday from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Daytime Tuolumne Traffic Alerts

So far it looks like Caltrans will have two work crews assigned along Highway 108 this week.

Look for ten-minute delays every weekday while tree work is underway between the Soulsbyville Road undercrossing and Strawberry from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Along Highway 108 between the Donnell Rest Area entrance and the Dump Road entrance gate, maintenance slated every weekday from 8:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. may bring five-minute delays.

Daytime Calaveras Cone Zones

Highway 26 construction will be underway every weekday between Quail Oaks Road and Gold Creek Drive from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., bringing ten-minute traffic interruptions.

On Highway 49 in San Andreas, utility potholing between Mountain Ranch Road and Main Street continues during the weekdays, likely to generate brief delays between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Also on Highway 49 every weekday, anticipate brief setbacks between San Domingo and San Antonio creeks while maintenance is underway from 8:15 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
