Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — While Caltrans crews are off for the Labor Day holiday, starting Tuesday Mother Lode motorists will be planning for plenty of traffic delays.

Fifteen-minute waits are in store, fortunately this Thursday only, along Highway 49 from Parrotts Ferry Road to Shaws Flat Road during paving operations scheduled from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

On Highway 120, due to tree work crews returning between Old Priest Grade Road and the west boundary entrance of Yosemite National Park, ten-minute traffic interruptions are inevitable Tuesday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Remember, too that longterm work refurbishing the James E. Roberts Memorial Bridge at Lake Don Pedro continues to generate ten-minute round-the-clock delays.

Along Highway 49, expect brief traffic hiccups Tuesday between Highway 108 and Jackass Hill Road as striping is underway under a moving closure from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, a utility crew will be busy on Fifth Avenue in Jamestown from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Highway 108 Hot Spots

Along Highway 108, five to ten-minute delays should be anticipated for the following:

Calaveras Cone Zones

Paving work focusing on Highway 4 between the Stanislaus/Calaveras County line and Highway 49 in San Andreas this Wednesday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. is likely to set motorists back ten minutes at a time.

Too, utility crews working on Highway 4 from Meadow View Road to the Arnold Byway will be working Tuesday through Friday beginning as early as 7 a.m. and remaining in place until 5 p.m. Delays there may run ten minutes.

Along Highway 49 in San Andreas, Tuesday through Friday, utility work between Mountain Ranch and Pool Station roads from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. may bring brief delays. Similar impacts are possible over the same period between Lumber Avenue and Highway 12 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
