Seasonal Closures At New Melones Lake
Sonora, CA — Seasonal closures have begun at New Melones Lake.
New Melones Lake Glory Hole and Tuttletown recreation areas closures will last through March 31st. That will allow for the Bureau of Reclamation to perform maintenance tasks and recover natural resources. However, camping, day-use areas, and boat launching entrance gates will remain open from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m.

- Manzanita, Nov. 1 – Dec. 31;
- Chamise, Oct. 1 – March 31
Glory Hole:
- Ironhorse, Nov. 1 – Dec. 31
Natural Bridges Day Use Area and Mark Twain Recreation Area remain open from sunrise to sunset. The New Melones Lake Administration is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while the Visitor Center and Museum are open for visitation and pass sales on Saturday and Sunday.
