Update: Red Flag Warning For The Northern San Joaquin Valley
The National Weather Service has extended the Red Flag Warning issued for the northern San Joaquin Valley, until 7 AM this morning (Thursday).
Northly winds of ten to twenty mph will continue at times, with expected gusts ranging from twenty to thirty-five mph.
Daytime minimum humidity will range from ten to twenty percent.
The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
