Radanovich Reflects On Loss To Tangipa In Assembly Race

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — Former Republican Congressman George Radanovich has called and congratulated fellow Republican David Tangipa for winning the District 8 Assembly race.

With the latest round of ballots counted, Tangipa has increased his lead over Radanovich, 53.3% – 46.7%.

Radanovich indicates that he will stay active in political causes, despite the defeat. He says, “For the better part of my adult life, I have been a dedicated public servant, and the path forward for me is no different. Despite these disappointing election results, I will continue to serve and work on behalf of the people of this area.”

Radanovich didn’t share specifics on his future plans.

He continued, “Now is the time to come together as Republicans and focus on defeating the far-left policies that plague our state, making living here less safe and unaffordable. I will offer any help I can to David as we tackle these problems.”

Radanovich also thanked the volunteers and supporters who helped his campaign.

Assembly District 8 covers most of the Mother Lode region and stretches into Fresno, and several valley communities.

Radanovich was the preferred candidate in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties, receiving nearly 58% of the vote in Tuolumne and around 56% in Calaveras.
