A Few Local Events
Copperopolis’ 27th Annual “First Tasting of the Year” is this Saturday from 4pm to 6:30pm. The event features several Calaveras County Wineries and provides an engraved vintage souvenir wine glass for unlimited wine tasting and an array of delicious Hors d’ oeuvres. All ticket sales include a donation to restore and maintain the Historic Old Church and Armory buildings, historical archive preservation and history program at Copper Elementary School. Marie Malo from the US Forest Service will lead a guided snowshoe hike. Bring or rent snowshoes, the hike starts at 10am and is free. The snowshoe hike starts at Dodge Ski Resort and typically takes two hours. The weather should be ideal, for contact information view the event listing here.
The Westside/High Sierra baseball annual “Dust off Your Glove” clinic is at the Jerry Whitehead Sr. Field on Saturday from 9:00 till Noon. Individuals can sign up as well for contact information see the event listing.
