Nature Calling Future Scientists

Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA — Registration is now open for two-week field research course at Yosemite National Park. The course is a part of a joint venture offered by NatureBridge, a residential education program, and the National Park Service. The Park touts the two week course as the ultimate teen summer science adventure. Park Officials say students will work with scientists to formulate a question and then do their own ecological research project using cutting-edge technology to get an answer.

“Teenagers emerge from the Summer Field Research Course knowing how to think like scientists,” said Scott Borden, course director. “The course is student-centered, inquiry-based learning at its most adventurous. Students learn field research skills that can transfer to high school, college and beyond.”

Students can choose from two Yosemite course dates for the summer of 2013: June 30 through July 13 or July 27 through August 9. Click here apply and get more information or call NatureBridge at 209-379-9511 extension 19.
