The Winner is?
Angels Camp, CA — The 2013 Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee picks an idol. Yesterday,our own Bridgette Fanucchi (KKBN), Mark Truppner (KVML)and Steve Jackson(Star 92.7)judged the 2013 Calaveras Idol contest and Mary Ann Curmi hosted the competition. Nearly 10 candidates competed for the title before a packed crowd in the grandstand.
And the 2013 Calaveras Idol winner is: Nicole Sass. The first runner-up was 12 year old Leah Callahan. Sass will sing on the main stage tonight at 7pm in the Calaveras Idol Showcase. After winning, Sass invited the runner-up Callahan to join her on stage for a song.
The music continues tonight with The Farm taking the stage at 8pm. The four day fair continues through Sunday. The gates open at 8am Saturday and 7am on Sunday. The Carnival rides open at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
