Sacramento, CA – The Associated Press reports Californians who use prepaid cellphones could end up paying a little more to talk. They could be charged more to add minutes under a bill moving through the Legislature. The Assembly today approved a bill that would require prepaid cellphone users to pay the same fees currently charged to those with wireless contracts. The money raised from the fees would go to support 911 operations and various utility services.
