Bigelow’s First Six Months In Office
Sacramento, CA — Assemblymember Frank Bigelow reviews his first six months in office. Bigelow represents the 5th Assembly District in the California Legislature which includes Tuolumne, Calaveras and 7 other neighboring counties.
He notes “It’s been great to have the opportunity to visit,” citing his attendance of the Mother Lode Round Up and other local events, as well as meeting teachers. In his newest myMotherLode.com blog “Six Months in Sacramento” he notes that he has been supporting funding for rural school budgets. He says he is concerned Governor Brown’s recently proposed change in the way that local schools recieve funding.
Bigelow mentions the need and reasons for his proposed livestock theft legislation, Assembly Bill 924. He also mentions his support for Assembly Bill 900 which he says will protect funding for rural health care and restore budget cuts made to the Medi-Cal program.
