Three Injured In Crash
The CHP reports that a man fell asleep at the wheel this morning causing a three vehicle accident on Parrotts Ferry Road.
The San Andreas CHP office says that 29-year-old Spencer Breinig of Hathaway Pines was driving a 2004 Honda northbound on Parrotts Ferry Road, and he dosed off and crossed the double yellow lines into the opposing traffic lane. Breinig’s car hit two oncoming vehicles, just north of the Natural Bridges area.
The CHP reports that Breinig was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto to treat moderate injuries. The drivers of the other two vehicles, 31-year-old Elizabeth Omar of Murphys and 43-year-old Lai Nguyen of Sonora, were taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital for minor injuries.
The accident happened a 7:10am, and Parrotts Ferry Road was completely blocked for a period of time during the morning commute.
