Spot Checks End In Some Arrests In Calaveras County
Calaveras County, CA — Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Deputies teamed up with CDCR parole officers to do surprise checks on people serving probation and parole in the Valley Springs and Burson areas.
Several people contacted were in compliance with the terms of either their probation or parole conditions and there was no further action.
Below is a list of people arrested throughout the day at various residences for non-compliance:
- At a residence on Myrtle Street in Valley Springs, 19 year old, Jacob King and 32 year old, Rene Berry were arrested on outstanding warrants. Officials report the two were also cited for being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer, as they tried to run or hide from law enforcement upon contact. A third subject, 32 year old, Robert Lucero was also arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
- At a residence on Baldwin Street in Valley Springs, 32 year old, John Williams was arrested for possession of stolen property and for violating the terms of his parole. Sheriff’s officials says, 34 year old, Adrianne Plowman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and another adult female was detained and later released for possession of suspected cocaine. They say that substance was tested by investigators and determined not to be cocaine. However, they say further investigation is still pending regarding the substance’s origin and possible connection to “bath salts” a new designer drug that can produce extreme euphoria, but also extreme aggression, paranoia and hallucinations.
- At a residence in Paloma, investigators discovered evidence indicating narcotics possession for sales. 48 year old, Gabriel Lozano was arrested for possession and possession for sale of narcotics, as well as marijuana cultivation. 48 year old, Roger Anderson was also arrested for possession and possession for sale of narcotics. 31 year old, Gregory Everett and 23 year old, Aaron Vance were arrested at the same location for outstanding warrants.
Two other people were issued citations during the spot checks: 39 year old, Lakesha Smith for possession of drug paraphernalia and 50 year old, Lucretia Brown for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana.
