This weekend will be full of talent, famous speakers and educational events.
The already announced Sonora High Wildcat Baseball will welcome current MLB World Series Champion & Future Hall of Fame Manager Tony La Russa. Details about the fund raiser are here.
Tioga High School will host World Famous Mountaineer, Conrad Anker. The speaking event is put on by the Southern Tuolumne County Historical Society. Further details in the event listing here.
At the Amphitheater at the Glory Hole Recreation Area, each weekend features programs as part of the “Support the America’s Great Outdoors” Initiative. This week photography will be discussed. Calaveras Master Gardeners are hosting the Open Garden Day on Saturday. The last summer plant sale for a few months and a talk on “Native and Wild Gardens” will be the highlights. Details are here.
The Tuolumne County 17th Annual Spring Garden Tour is on Sunday. The Master Gardeners invite you to tour five beautiful local gardens, showcasing gardening techniques appropriate for higher elevation gardening. For tickets and details view the event details here.

This weekend is also the 16th Annual Passport “Wine” Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance. Twenty-three member wineries and tasting rooms located throughout Calaveras County will offer gourmet foods, entertainment, and award winning Calaveras wines. More information is available here.
