Calaveras Visitors Bureau Has New Leader
Angels Camp, CA — The Calaveras Visitors Bureau Board of Directors has selected a new Executive Director.
Arnold resident Lisa Boulton has been picked to replace Lisa Mayo. Boulton has been active with the Visitors Bureau for several years, and is a former member of its Board of Directors. For the past 13 years she has been the Director of Marketing for Cave and Mine Adventures based in Vallectito. She also currently serves on the board of the Amador Council of Tourism, the Gold Country Visitors Association and Destination Angels Camp.
Boulton says she is anxious for the new challenge.
“Tourism continues to rise, and Calaveras County is doing very well when compared to the region,” says Boulton. “I’m really excited and honored to take this position.”
Outgoing Director Mayo announced last month that she has accepted a position with the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau.
CVB Board President Steve Markle reports that 24 resumes were reviewed and candidates were interviewed from as far away as Texas and Arizona.
Boulton will start effective July 30th.
