Events In the Mother Lode
Several events will entertain Mother Lode residents today and this weekend.
Magic of the Night starts at 6:00pm tonight in Downtown Sonora. Sheala Wilkenson, Special Events Coordinator for the City of Sonora, provided details about the event in an earlier story. You can find it by clicking here.
The Annual Pinecrest Lake Run is a free one mile fun run, with a five miler starting after that. The event will happen Saturday morning. Procedes from the five mile race will benefit the Pinecrest School, which is now associated with Mountain Oaks Charter School. For more about times and other details visit the event listing here.
The 6th Annual Classic Car Show Craft Faire will be held at the Long Barn Lodge & Event Center at 10am on Satueday. The event will also feature craft booths, food, music, face painting, and raffles. For more information see the event listing here.
New Melones continues to offer Summer Activities at the Glory Hole Recreation Area starting at 7pm. All activities are at the Amphitheater at the Glory Hole Recreation Area and are free of charge and suitable for all ages. Over in Coulterville Park in Mariposa, the Northside Pet Connection Spay/Nueter Program will host the Family Fun Carnival Fundraiser. The Carnival will help raise money for their spay and nueter voucher program. The event features games, prizes, bounce houses, cotton candy, beer, hot dogs, many vendor booths and raffles.
