Annual Celebrations and Fundraisers
Several events are happening this weekend including the 5th Annual Meals on Wheels fundraiser is this Saturday at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park.
Co-chair Ron Patel says, this year the theme is Las Vegas. He expects several Elvis impersonators to show up for the costume contest, plus there will be Las Vegas style entertainment and other different twists this year.
Sierra Senior Providers CEO Mike Ruggles notes that Meals on Wheels serves about 500 seniors providing 60,000 meals during the year. This event is the Meals On Wheels biggest fundraiser event. More details are in the news story “5th-Annual Meals On Wheels Fundraiser” here.
In Angels Camp, at Utica Park, the 50th annual Firemen’s Fun Day will celebrate with food and many activities. For all the details view the event listing here.
In Soulsbyville the Horsearound Ranch will host the Horsearound Ranch Museum Tractor & Farm Equipment Show in memory of Al Hauschildt. The event is for “everyone to come at no charge and have a place for family’s to enjoy the History together.” Details of all the fun during the two day event is listed here.
