ATV Injury Accident

Sonora, CA — A central valley woman was seriously injured in an ATV accident yesterday morning at 1550 Peoria Flat Road.
The CHP reports that 44-year-old Christina Pfell of Turlock was heading downhill and lost control of the ATV while going around a bend. Pfell and a passenger, 23-year-old Roy Shuway of Modesto, were ejected. Pfell was airlifted to Doctors Hospital in Modesto with major injuries, and Shuway was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The CHP reports that neither of the riders was wearing a helmet.
