CHP Commander Retiring

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The head of the San Andreas CHP office will be retiring.

Commander Lt. Tim Port’s last day will be Friday. Port has spent 29 years with the CHP. He started in 1982 in East LA and has worked at different offices up and down the state.

“It was a great pleasure to have lived and worked in Calaveras County,” says Port. “I will miss the people of this community that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years, but the hardest thing about retiring will be no longer working with some of the finest men and women in the California Highway Patrol.”

Port became the Commander of the San Andreas office in January of 2009.
