Olsen To Host TuCare Summit
CA Assemblyperson Kristin Olsen is set to host the TuCare Summit at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds on Friday September 30th.
Olsen was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors there is no cost to attend this event.
The 11th Annual TuCare Natural Resources Summit is an informative day of discussion with state and nationally-recognized experts on forestry and water management. There will be guest speakers from a variety of sources including agencies, educational organizations and elected officials.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The Summit itself takes place from 9 a.m. thru 1 p.m. inside of the Sierra Building at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, CA.
On Thursday September 29th, the day before the Summit, there will be a forest tour from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Those who attend this tour will learn about increasing the water yield from thinning the forests. Transportation to and from Mother Lode Fairgrounds & lunch will be provided
The tour will take people to a USDA Experimental Forest, the Pinecrest Ampitheatre and the Tulloch Dam and Powerhouse. Pre-registration is required.
