Volunteers Help S.R.M.C.
Sonora, CA – Sonora Regional Medical Center was recently given a large donation by the Hospital’s volunteers.
$18,000 was donated through proceeds from the Medical Center Gift Shop and volunteer fundraising events, according to Gail Witzlsteiner, Director of Development and Public Relations.
The money will be used to purchase GI laboratory and cardiopulmonary medical devices and a new patio canopy.
The hospital’s volunteer organization is nearly 200 members strong and does everything from expediting the check-in process to visiting patients in their rooms.
At a recent hospital installation banquet, Elinore Burns, Edie De Fehr, Betty Rhodes and Mae Francis were honored for their volunteer service.
