Rallying Against Government Spending

Angels Camp, CA – Tax Day "Tea Parties" are taking place across the U.S. today, including Angels Camp.

"The message is that we’re fed up with government intruding into our lives and taxing us to death," says Cory Burnell, event coordinator for Angels Camp. "Government is getting bigger and bigger, and we are completely headed down the wrong track."

An Angels Camp tea party on September 12th drew 450 residents, and organizers hope to see a similar crowd this evening.

The event will begin at 5pm and run until around 7:30pm at Utica Park. There will be a number of speeches throughout the evening, and some local candidates for office are expected to be on hand. It is being hosted by the Calaveras County Taxpayers Association and Campaign For Liberty.
