Stormy Mother’s Day?
Mother’s Day (Sunday) and the day after (Monday) could both be rather wet days in the Motherlode.
Two cold storm systems will be moving through the Motherlode, with the first one arriving on Sunday and a stronger system due on Monday.
Snow levels will lower to 4000 through 5000 feet in the Sierra Nevada possibly bringing two to four inches of snow accumulation.
Isolated thunderstorms containing heavy rain, hail and strong winds will be possible both Sunday and Monday in the Motherlode, with snow in the Sierra. Remote possibilities of rain will continue through Tuesday afternoon with much warmer and drier weather returning by Wednesday.
