California BOE Candidate Visits Sonora
Sonora, CA– California Board of Equalization candidate Chris Parker made a campaign stop in Sonora today. Parker, a Democrat, is running for the District 2 seat which covers 34 of California’s 58 counties including Tuolumne and Calaveras.
Parker is a tax attorney with the Franchise Tax board in Sacramento and said, “I’ve had the opportunity to visit 31 of the counties on the campaign trail and learn about the people and their issues across this district. It’s really a remarkable area of California and is beautiful as it is here in Sonora. I hope to have the opportunity to serve the people of this district.”
The Board of Equalization is California’s tax board and is responsible for administering two of California’s major tax programs: Personal Income Tax and the Corporation Tax.
