Radanovich Reflects On Veterans Day

Sponsored by:

Washington, DC – Outgoing District 19 Congressman George Radanovich has issued the following statement regarding Veterans Day.

“Thank you for joining me this Veterans Day in remembering the men and women who have fought so valiantly to protect our nation. My respect and sincere gratitude goes out to the men and women who currently serve in our Armed Forces, our veterans, our military families and those we have lost defending our country.

“I want to give special recognition to all our soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. The War on Terror is real and the threats to our country are imminent. But because of the bravery of our men and women in uniform we have been safe since September 11th. This is an incredible feat, one for which we can be proud.

“We in the United States have much to be grateful for. Our nation is prosperous and free, a claim many countries can’t make. But our freedom came at a price. It was the blood, sweat, and tears of our men and women in uniform that ensured that we could live in a land of opportunity.

“We are indebted to the great men and women of our military and their service to our country. To our heroes of the Armed Forces and for those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice, you will never be forgotten. May God bless you, and may God bless America.”
