Animal Control In Search Of Dog
Columbia, CA– Tuolumne County Animal Control is in search of a dog that reportedly bit a bicyclist last week.
According to Animal Control Manager Jennifer Clarke, last Friday at 10:15 am, a mountain biker was bitten on the hip and shin by a loose dog on Yankee Hill Road near Mountain Boy Road in Columbia.
The dog is described as a large shorthaired black or very dark brown dog. The loose dog was with a woman with brown hair who was also walking three other large dogs. One of the dogs was tan and the other two dogs were dark in color. The woman claimed the loose dog did not belong to her.
Animal Control needs to locate the missing dog for quarantine so that the victim does not have to undergo rabies treatment. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Animal Control at (209) 694-2730.
