$6,455 Raised On Day One
Sonora, CA – Day one of the Clarke Broadcasting Santa Fly-In Cash Drive For Interfaith has amassed $6,455 in community donations as of 9am.
The cash drive kicked off this morning during the Star 92.7 morning show by Justin and Maryann, and on 93.5 KKBN with Big Joe and Bridgette. The cash drive will be held again Friday morning from 6-9am. Friday’s goal has been set for an additional $10,000 in donations. All donations are tax deductible.
Interfaith serves approximately 900 families each month and provides food, clothing and other necessities. Cathie Peacock, Executive Director of Interfaith Social Services, says the need has never been higher as a result of the high unemployment rate in Tuolumne County. 100 percent of all donations will benefit Tuolumne County residents.
Residents and businesses can also join the cause and drop food and coat collections at Standard Park this Saturday from 9am-3pm. Santa will arrive at noon by helicopter courtesy of PHI Air Medical and Tuolumne County Ambulance Service. It is a chance for kids to get a picture with Santa.
