Stabbing At Valley Springs Restaurant

Valley Springs, CA– A 30 year old man was allegedly stabbed with a knife at a restaurant in Valley Springs last night.


According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Lee’s Pig Out BBQ on 126 Quail Oaks Road in Valley Springs around 9:00 pm for a report of a stabbing.


When deputies arrived,  the victim, John Lee Miller of Valley Springs was sitting outside the restaurant and being attended to by customers. The Fire Department and EMS officials also responded to the business to provide medical aid.


Miller suffered a stab wound and cuts to his upper torso and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Deputies interviewed several potential witnesses but were unable to identify a possible suspect.


It is unknown what prompted the stabbing, but according to witness accounts, there was possibly an argument between Miller and the unknown suspect prior to the stabbing. Potential Leads are being investigated at this time. John Miller is expected to survive his injuries.
