Major Wet Weather Predicted For The Motherlode

A large weather system will bring an extended period of stormy, windy and wet weather to both the Sierra Nevada and the Motherlode beginning this Friday.
Half a foot of rain could fall in the Motherlode from Friday into early next week. Several feet of snow will fall in the Sierra Nevada during the same time period.
Snow levels are expected to fluctuate between 4000 and 6000 feet.
The wet weather pattern could continue all the way through Christmas Day.
Motherlode residents should prepare for an extended period of unusual heavy rain and stormy weather beginning on Friday.
