Snowboarder Dies At Dodge Ridge

Sonora, CA — 19-year-old Aline Christina Martins of Santa Barbara was fatally injured in a snowboarding accident Monday at Dodge Ridge.
Martins’ was at the resort with her family and was reported missing shortly after 4:30pm. She was discovered about an hour later during an extensive search.
“Martin was located and found unresponsive near a tree,” says Deputy Paul Tualla of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. “When the paramedics arrived they declared her deceased.”
Tualla says the County Coroner is still investigating details surrounding the death.
