Sonora High School Graduate Releases Debut Christian CD
It has been a year of national exposure and personal growth for local singer Erin 0’Shea, culminating in her first Christian music CD entitled, "Never Alone".
Erin O’Shea was KVML’s Friday "Newsmaker of the Day".
After graduating Sonora High School in 2008, O’Shea made a demo CD that included a Christian song titled, "On My Knees." A locally filmed music video was created and the song was sent to liveprayer.com
After being viewed over one million times, O’Shea won the website’s annual Christian Music Video Contest.
The current Columbia College student was inspired after winning the national contest and perused recording professionally.
"Christian music is my passion so that is what I wanted to do for my first album,"
O’Shea said. O’Shea teamed up with Nashville Record Producer Bill Keller and spent one week in a Nashville recording studio, laying down her vocals for an eight song disc.
The CD was released one week ago on March 24th, and is available locally for purchase at Leap of Faith Christian Music and Books in the Sonora Plaza.
O’Shea will be performing at the Twain Harte Golf Club on Saturday April 18th, during the annual Sonora Cat Rescue Fashion Show. Call (209) 962-1228 for more ticket information.
