Calaveras Supervisors Set To Approve Sheriff’s Grant
San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday to approve a $35,659 grant from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program.
The money will be used by the Sheriff’s Department for gang enforcement within Calaveras County.
The Supervisors will also vote whether to accept $174,926 in California Boating Safety and Enforcement Program revenues for the 2009/10 fiscal year budget.
In Tuolumne County the Supervisors will decide whether to seek a Certified Local Government grant of $17,500 to fund a project that would make data in the De Ferrari-Hartvig archive collection more accessible to the public. The County would have to provide a 40 percent match.
The meetings will begin at 9am Tuesday in San Andreas and Sonora.
