Friday Drowning Victim Identified

Sonora, CA — 23 year old Alicia Marie Corral of Oakdale has been positively identified by the Tuolumne County Coroner’s Office as the individual who drowned in the Oakdale Irrigation District Canal west of South Shore Lake Tulloch Friday at 5:30pm.
Sheriff’s patrol units and Tuolumne County Sheriff Search and Rescue personnel were dispatched to the area.
Also involved with the search was the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Air Unit. That unit actually found the deceased near Wilms Rd. at approximately 7:30pm.
