Supervisors Will Decide On Trinitas Tuesday
San Andreas, CA — The Trinitas Golf project heads back to the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
“No matter what happens about fifty percent of the people will be dissatisfied,” says Board Chair Russ Thomas. “It has been a very emotional project because people either like it or dislike it.”
The developers of the Wallace project, Michael and Michelle Nemee, are proposing to build a restaurant, 30 unit lodging facility, designate 13 lots for single family homes, and receive permits for large events.
The 18-hole golf course is already in place, and there has been much debate regarding its construction at past meetings. Opponents have argued it was built without County approval and is in violation of the Williamson Act.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 9am in the board chambers. The Trinitas discussion is scheduled for a 9:30 start.
