Update: Wounded Suspect From Mokelumne Hill

Railroad Flat, CA — The suspect who was taken to Modesto Memorial Hospital after being shot multiple times by a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Detective has been identified as 29-year-old Michael D. Thompson of Mokelumne Hill.
Thompson’s condition is listed as serious. The Sheriff’s Department is not releasing the names of the detectives involved at this time.
Thompson was shot at around 3:45pm in Railroad Flat when he was allegedly in possession of a stolen vehicle.
