Sonora City Council To Schedule Special Budget Meeting
Sonora, CA — Traditionally the Sonora City Council only meets on the first and third Monday evenings of the month but this month a special June 29th budget meeting will be scheduled this evening during the second regularly scheduled meeting of the month.
City Administrator Greg Applegate, “This evening we’ll be scheduling a special council meeting on June 29 to move forward with the adoption of the budget. This will allow us extra time to finalize details.”
In addition Applegate states that Mayor Ron Stern will reappoint John Richardson and Chris Garnin to four year terms on the Planning Commission.
The City Council will also finalize the Police Department’s contract to service the 2009 Mother Lode Fair set for June 26-28 at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
The “open to the public” meeting is scheduled for a five o’clock start.
