Sonora Regional Medical Center Captures National Award
Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center has been named a top performer in a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) premier health care alliance value-based purchasing project.
This project rewards hospitals for delivering high quality care in five clinical areas. CMS designates hospitals as a "top performer" if it performs in the Top 20 percent of all participating hospitals.
Based on fourth year results from the Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration (HQID) project, S.R.M.C. received three awards for Top Performance, Top Improvement and Attainment in the clinical areas of hip and knee, heart failure and pneumonia respectively.
