Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Opens New V.A. Facility
Sonora, CA — An eleven o’clock ribbon cutting ceremony this morning officially opened the new Veterans Administration Clinic on Mono Way just west of the Junction Shopping Center.
The $2.5 million, 8,000 square foot facility is more than double the size of the previous facility.
According Pam Polk, the nurse manager for the clinic, various services will be offered the veterans including primary care services with a new primary care physician. That will allow the clinic to increase the number clients served.
“In addition we have expanded our mental health services for Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan returning veterans. We are excited about our new facility and the way in which we will be able to service those who have defended our country.”
California Gold Development Corporation served as the general contractor for the facility.
