No Problems Reported With Sonora-Oakdale Rivalry
Sonora, CA — Traditionally whenever Sonora High and Oakdale get together for their regular season ending football game there is the potential for trouble due to the heated rivalry.
But according to Sonora Police Chief Mark Stinson, “Friday night was really quiet for us. It was actually enjoyable. Our officers were able to watch the game. We had a few minor activities involving students from both schools but overall it was nice and quiet.
Unfortunately we had a couple of people park in wrong places and their vehicles had to be towed and then we wrote some parking tickets but other than that it was a very quiet and enjoyable game from a law enforcement standpoint.”
