Winter Storm Warning Will Continue Into Saturday Morning

Sonora, CA – The National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada mountains is set to continue until 7am Saturday morning.
Snow levels should dip to around 3,000 ft. overnight with 5-10 inches possible between 4,500 to 7,000 ft. Gusty winds are accompanying this storm, and the foothills are seeing considerable rainfall.
The CHP has been assisting a few vehicle accidents this afternoon, so travel with caution. Minor collisions have been reported along Hwy 108 at the Sanquinetti Loop, Long Barn Rd. and at Waif Mine Rd.
