“Second Season” Continues For All Three Mother Lode Teams

Sonora, CA — The schedule is set for the second round of the Division 4 Sac-Joaquin football playoffs.

With their 20-7 win over Whitney Friday evening the fourth seeded Sonora High Wildcats will hit the road to meet undefeated Lincoln. The Zebras, from Placer County, are 11-0 and the top seed in the "A" bracket.

Also in the "A" bracket seventh seeded Calaveras pulled over a stunning upset with a 18-14 win at second seeded Dixon. The 7-4 Redskins will now travel to third seeded Placer. The Hillmen are 10-1.

In the "B" bracket third seeded Summerville avenged its only regular season loss with a 33-0 home field victory over Ripon. The 10-1 Bears will now travel to meet the second seeded and 10-1 Central Catholic Raiders in Modesto.

All games are scheduled for Friday evening.
