Oliver Fire Fighting Effort Exceeds $6 Million

Mariposa County, CA — The Oliver Fire, which is burning to the north and northeast in the Devil´s Creek drainage, has grown to 2,603 acres.
Containment as of Sunday evening was 45 percent. Full containment is expected by Saturday.
1,324 personnel are on scene. Sunday there were 141 engines fighting the fire along with 15 watertenders, 10 bulldozers, 30 handcrews, nine helicopters and eight air tankers along with one air tact plane.
Injuries reported; 2 moderate and 10 minor.
Cost of fighting this fire to date; $6 million.
