Sonora Police Arrest Drug Abuser
Sonora, CA — Wednesday evening officers from the Sonora Police Department arrested 23 year old Raylene Carter outside her Sonora apartment.
The nature of the contact was to conduct a probation search of Carter and her residence.
Officers located pills in Carter´s possession. She claimed they were prenatal vitamins when in fact they were unprescribed Vicodin tablets. During a search of Carter´s apartment three smoking devices were located all of which had a white residue (methamphetamine) adhered to the inside of the smoking bowl area.
Carter was taken into custody without incident and transported to the County Jail. At that time officers learned that Carter was recently released from jail August 1 on her own recognizance (O.R.). She had been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charter was booked on this occasion for committing a felony while on O.R., felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
